ANDREW UPAH // Lead Skipper & Founder

Andrew's exposure to the ocean started young, as did his passion for sailing. Growing up in coastal New Jersey, Andrew frequented the waters of the Northeast and spent many summers living aboard yachts throughout the Caribbean and Mexico, allowing him to advance his knowledge of sailing, diving and other ocean-based activities. A post-college stint as a management consultant w/ Accenture and Deloitte allowed Andrew to make his way to California. During his years in the sailing community of Dana Point, Andrew practiced advanced cruising and racing techniques, logging 100's of hours at the helm, including skippering nearly 30 multi-day passages to the Channel Islands - several completed single-handed (by himself). Andrew now focuses his sailing in warmer waters and is a frequent charterer throughout the Caribbean. In March of 2015, Andrew crewed aboard the class-winning "Hotel California Too", taking top honors at the St. Thomas International Regatta. Andrew's excitement for sailing in the Caribbean is infectious, and he loves nothing more than sharing these incredible experiences with others.

SARAH BROOKS // Chief Hostess

Learning to sail at a young age, Sarah raced Sailfish & Lasers growing up on the Wilmington River in coastal Savannah. After learning SCUBA at age 15, and subsequently spending many summers on live-aboard dive boats throughout the Caribbean, Sarah gained her Dive Instructor's license and spent two years as a Dive Instructor in Australia and New Zealand. Not losing her sailing roots, Sarah also crewed on a Race-Trimaran for an entire season in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Since moving back to the US, Sarah has crewed on several charters in the BVI & Grenadines, and considers the Caribbean her true home. Join Sarah this winter on select voyages with The Crew, as she shares her love and sailing, and the Ocean. Her background in marine biology makes her an excellent snorkel buddy!

KATIE MAYEUX // Yoga Guide

Katie always dreamed of teaching yoga under the sun with the wind blowing on her face. After leaving a landlocked existence in Dallas last year, Katie made this dream a reality when she moved to St. Thomas and co-founded SUP Yoga VI. Katie now teaches yoga full time, primarily on a stand-up paddle board (SUP). As she'll tell you, being on the water, with all of the elements of nature around you is surreal. Meet Katie this winter on select voyages with The Crew, and seek a new breath, balance and float towards a new savasana.

JULIA KRAMER // Yoga Guide

Julia's love affair with body movement began at a young age, spending the majority of her time dancing, running, and constantly on the go. Growing up in Michigan, practicing yoga at an early age was unheard of, so Julia would lead classes for friends at her house when the local studio went out of business.  During a college study abroad program circumnavigating the globe, she led her peers in yoga classes on the open sea.  After relocating to San Francisco, CA, she learned from some of the best, most influential yogis in the Bay Area. As an avid traveler and adventure/ nature enthusiast, Julia continues to seek life balance in all places and enjoys guiding others in their practice to move, relax, play, and explore. Meet Julia this winter on select voyages with The Crew,  and let her help you find your inner strength, perspective, and calmness.
